![]() REFPATHTYPE has three settings: 0 for No Path, 1 for Relative Path (the default setting now), and 2 for Full Path. Better yet, there is now a systems variable where you can set which path type is default. ![]() AutoCAD 2018 will help reduce that because now the default Path Type is now Relative Path instead of Full Path. If a file gets moved to a different folder location a reference could break. In this article, I’ll discuss issues that arise and several of the new tools in xrefs that make those issues easier to deal with. Xref that base file into your drawing file and you have it. You make a drawing file and want to show linework from a “base” file. Even a single person working a project is likely to use xrefs. They are likely the most used method of sharing data across drawings, departments, and projects in AutoCAD. Xrefs are not new, and we have all used them in one way or another. Many users do not attend it that leads to Xref object will be put current payer. You should note to Layer when you insert Xref object. Please note that you choose bigger, xref object is more blurred. Then choose tab Display and adjust at Xref display, click at Apply and OK. To change the light of xref object, you type OP then enter. From version 2011, the color of XREF file is shown blurredly. XREF is a tool in AutoCad that allows 1 or many files DWG (small drawing) to use the content of 1 or many other files DWG (original drawing). Using XREF in AutoCad helps you to overcome the above problem. If you only show in a normal way, it will cause amount of work when you have to change the content of many drawings with same content.
